How did the idea for the business originate?

JB has been a family officer since 2007. He thus noticed that family offices sit at the end of the “information food chain”: As such they heavily depend on either tools that are not geared to their operating model or on commercial providers whose interests are not necessarily aligned.

Furthermore, all new techs are used to reinvent the wheel of third-party management with a different front end. It fails to turn technology as a vector of independence which family offices research. All this put together lead to creating Finlight.com

Our due diligence bot is live and actively used by 10 active beta clients.

Outside of your own business, which start up do you admire the most and why?

Spotify, as it went against the major-like Apple’s Itunes and Amazon Music to launch a music streaming business that adopted open music model (innovation) instead of the traditional right management systems. It is now the most used music streaming platform.
