NDGIT GmbH stands for Next Digital Banking and provides the first API platform for banking and insurance. It connects banks and FinTech companies with digital ecosystems. This technology enables banks to open themselves up to digital partners with open banking APIs and PSD2 solutions.

How did the idea for the business originate?
The new payment directive (PSD2) was launched and there have been significant market trends towards digital processes and APIs. So far, no API management service dedicated to Banking and insurance has been existing. So we saw our chance.

Do you have customers yet? If not, how far into your business lifecycle are you?
We have 20 Bank clients and even more FinTechs. Our Bank customers include the top 3 banks from Germany, France and Switzerland.

How have you funded your growth to date?
Series A funding.

What would a successful 2018 look like for you?
We are already very successful, but of course we are always looking for new partners and clients.

Outside of your own business, which start up do you admire the most and why? 
We consider Raisin an inspirational leader of the FinTech industry in Germany, due to their continuous financial and business success and their loyal customer base.
