Welcoming OroPay to FinTech Connect!

OroPay are an e-Money Wallet provider. The OroPay wallet is easy to setup, easy to get funds into, and convenient for customers to operate.  For Merchants we offer a cost effective way to receive payments for online services.

How did the idea for the business originate?

We got the idea from the rapid uptake of non-Bank Fintechs over the past few years.  With several players signing up large numbers of customers, and launching many everyday banking services but with far more agility than Banks could offer, we decided to launch a competing service.

Do you have customers yet? If not, how far into your business lifecycle are you?

We do have customers.  We have been live since April 2018, and are now starting to market our solution in the hope to sign up many new Customers and Merchants.

How have you funded your growth to date?

Privately funded by a single UBO.

What would a successful year look like for you?

Some early signups of customers across several European countries, and a couple of anchor merchants is what we are aiming for in 2018.  Anything beyond that would be great, but we have to be realistic about our marketing reach.

Outside of your own business, which start up do you admire the most and why? 

GRAB – they found a very specific niche in South East Asia, and came to market with a very practical and workable solution – and are now growing exponentially.
