About Qwil Messenger:
Qwil Messenger solves the challenge of making chat safe and compliant when it matters most: between staff, clients and partners. Our single, global chat app enables participants in any location to engage in branded, professional conversations with their companies whilst meeting the most stringent security and regulatory requirements.
How did the idea for the business originate?
we saw an opportunity to bring the power of the world’s most popular form of digital communication to professional firms who require highly secure and compliant technology solutions.
Do you have customers yet? If not, how far into your business lifecycle are you?
We formally launched at the end of July and have nearly 20 separate organisations either using or trialing our SaaS platform. We have been working closely with Schroders globally since the beginning of 2018 as their founding startup in residence.
How have you funded your growth to date?
We have completed a few small rounds of family and friends investment as well as bootstrapping the business ourselves to date.
What would a successful 2018 look like for you?
Having our platform deployed across 10-20+ organisations across 2-3 geographies.
Outside of your own business, which start up do you admire the most and why?
Citymapper – these guys solve such a simple problem in an amazing way.
WhatsApp – hard not to appreciate the path these guys paved for our own venture.
Revolut/Monzo – exceptional digital first experiences that prove it can be done.
