Transactive API Platform offers faster, easier and less expensive access to instant payment systems enabling businesses, banks, and fintech disruptors to send and receive funds faster and more seamlessly to any number of IBANS than ever before.

How did the idea for the business originate? 
In 2014 the FasterPayments scheme published a whitepaper  outlining their vision for the “New Access Model”. Not long after that the Bank of England hinted, most recently affirmed by Mark Carney in June, 2016, that they would change policy so as to allow non-bank payment service providers to obtain clearing accounts.

Between those two announcements it was clear that access to payments would no longer be gated by the banks. At the same time, about 2016, the central bank of Lithuania announced they would be willing to sponsor PSPs as directly connected members of the SEPA and SEPA Inst schemes.

This and development of instant payment schemes in other countries gave rise to the notion of an “instant payments hub” and Transactive was conceived.

We are currently in Beta testing with a select number of customers in readiness for our Launch in September 2018!

What would a successful 2018 look like for you?

Rollout of our Payments Hub for the UK Faster Payments system and Euro Payments with enough revenue to become 80% EBIT neutral.

Outside of your own business, which model and startup do you admire the most and why? 
There are numerous to mention. However, GoCardless comes to mind – they have done a great job in making a complex product simple
