Head of Payments Partnerships & Group Payments Strategy Lloyds Banking Group

Christian re-joined Lloyds Banking Group earlier in the year as Head of Payments Partnerships & Group Payments Strategy after 5 years in digital travel media and the comparison industry. During his previous stint in the payments industry, Christian’s broad area of expertise included PSD2 and Open Banking, where he lead LBG’s regulatory engagement and was responsible for ‘payments’ within the Open Banking programme, as well as the UK domestic payment schemes.

He was an FPS Alternate Board Director, worked on the Future Clearing Model and represented LBG at EBA Clearing and other European payment schemes.

Prior to payments, Christian held a number of roles across the Bank including heading up the banking teams within LBG’s HNW Private Banking division as well as working in the International Private Banking and International Personal Banking businesses which saw him being based in Jersey, the Isle of Man and Los Angeles for a number of years.
