Jakob Aungiers

Jakob Aungiers is currently the Head of Systematic Market Making at Quantstellation, a multi-asset multi-horizon quantitative investment firm, established in 2008, which relies on sophisticated statistical models and state-of-the-art infrastructure to find and exploit inefficiencies across modern electronic financial markets.

In his prior roles Jakob has worked across the full spectrum of buy side investment including a HFT firm in Sydney, Head of Quantitative Research Development for Global Investment Strategy at HSBC Global Asset Management, and the Data Insights Team at Schroders Asset Management.

Jakob is also the Founder & Managing Director of Altum Intelligence; an AI research & consultancy company specialising in cutting edge AI research, and also an active Angel Investor in the European AI tech start-up scene.

He holds a MEng in Computer Science from the University of Southampton and has lead several talks on investment and technology in quant finance over the years.
