Wafaa Schiefler joined J.P. Morgan in 2011 as a Commodities Quantitative Researcher. She currently oversees the Quantitative Research teams for Base Metals, Precious Metals, and Agricultural Products, in addition to leading the Commodities Data Science team. Her primary responsibilities include developing and supporting pricing and risk management models, and implementing data-driven tools to support the Trading and Sales desks. Before this role, Wafaa worked as a Quantitative Researcher on Energy market. Throughout her career, Wafaa has encouraged women to enter the field of Quantitative Finance, mentoring many students and establishing a network on LinkedIn, which has over 1,300 members. Wafaa began her career in finance in 2008. She holds a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from École Centrale Paris and a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance from the University of Paris VII.
