Dr. Marlou Slot is a Senior Research Fellow in Quantum Materials and Sensing at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), CU Boulder Research Faculty, and Quantum Head at the Womanium foundation.
-At the National Institute of Standards and Technology: Developing quantum materials for the Second Quantum Revolution. Atom by atom and layer by layer, Marlou experimentally realizes novel electronic quantum matter - from fractals to moiré materials - and characterizes them at dilution refrigerator temperatures.
-At Womanium: Creating the scientific leaders of tomorrow and increasing women in STEM+E. The Womanium Quantum Team brings together CEOs, scientists and leaders in Quantum Computing, Quantum Sensing and Entrepreneurship to train the next generation of quantum leaders. The 2022 and 2023 editions trained 4000+ people from 100+ countries, 45% women.
