Michael is an intellectual property (IP) attorney representing leading technology companies in procuring, managing, and protecting intellectual property rights. He focuses on ensuring that IP strategy aligns with business strategy for adding company value, supporting company growth, and providing a competitive advantage. With years of prior industry and academic experience, Michael has a deep understanding of complex engineering and computer science concepts, which is indispensable for commercializing and protecting cutting-edge technology and performing diligence to guide investment in new technologies. Michael is also an expert in patent interferences, reexaminations, and inter partes review proceedings at the patent office.

His technical areas of expertise include computer architectures, computer software applications, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, VLSI design, semiconductor devices, renewable energy, and wireless communications. Before becoming a lawyer, Michael worked for 15 years as a hardware engineer for start-ups, in academia, and as a NASA and DOD contractor. Michael is a current member of the IEEE Computer Society, including the Quantum Technical Community.
