The Quantum.Tech Hot 10 is a brand-new, community-led initiative recognising the top 10 most influential figures in quantum technology today, as chosen by the industry. Whether they’re leading groundbreaking research, building startups, shaping policy, or growing quantum teams, this is your chance to shine a light on the individuals truly driving progress.
Quantum.Tech Hot 10:
What is the Hot 10?
This is not a popularity contest. The Hot 10 recognises impact, celebrating people across the quantum ecosystem who are pushing boundaries, solving complex problems, and helping the field advance.
Here’s how it works:
1. Nominations have been made and the nominating period closed. All nominations were made by 29th August.
2. The Quantum.Tech team has reviewed the nominations. But rather than select the top 10 entirely internally, given the broad spectrum of nominations, we’ve pared it down to 29 finalists, and are asking for the community to help us with the final selection
3. We’re asking for the industry’s credible insights to help select the top 10 from our 29 finalists. Voting, with the opportunity to give us insights into what makes your selection a top candidate, will remain open until the 15th of September.
4. We will review those votes and announce the top 10 list on 16th September
5. The judging panel – an independent advisory board of individuals with their own knowledge and experience in quantum tech - will select the winner and runner up to be announced at Quantum.Tech Europe.
What makes someone a quantum innovator or trailblazer
We’re looking for people who: Are making meaningful contributions to the quantum field, have a clear impact on research, innovation, education, or adoption, inspire others through leadership, vision, or collaboration and may be recognised figures, or quiet heroes working behind the scenes
What happens next?
Our goal of the Top 10 is to recognize the leaders who are having the biggest impact on Quantum today.
We will be working with our Advisory Board, who we meet with quarterly, to shape the agenda (their details can be found below). They will be acting as our Judging Panel reviewing the submissions and the reasons provided against three key questions.
