 
                                                                             
                                        
                                        Diya is a first-year undergraduate at the University of Birmingham and an aspiring quantum innovator. As Global Lead for Outreach and UK Ambassador at Girls in Quantum, she champions the mission to democratise quantum education worldwide. In this role, she has led several other outreach initiatives, ranging from co-authoring an introductory book, to founding the Quantum Conversations interview series, to spear heading GiQ's flagship international online conference Q-volution; alongside, contributing to discussions in global platforms. Passionate about the intersection of education, equity, and emerging tech, she’s dedicated to empowering a new, diverse generation of thinkers to shape the future of quantum innovation.
In this session, Diya shares the story of Girls in Quantum, a youth-led initiative working to make quantum education accessible, inclusive, and innovative. From launching open educational resources and collaborating worldwide, to inspiring young minds through mentorship and events, GiQ is on a mission to empower young people, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, and shape the future of quantum. As we reflect on 100 years since the birth of quantum theory, this talk highlights how with a shared goal, we as a community can positively shape the next 100 years of quantum
