Sebastian Weidt
Co-Founder and CEO Universal Quantum
Dr Sebastian Weidt is the Co-Founder and CEO of Universal Quantum - a UK company developing the world’s first million qubit quantum computer. He is also an Associate Professor in Quantum Technologies at the University of Sussex, UK with more than 12 years' experience in the field of quantum computing. During this time, Sebastian for example co-created the first scalable trapped ion quantum computer blueprint, which involved inventing a number of pioneering approaches to building a million-qubit machine. Previously, Sebastian worked as a management consultant in Berlin, Germany before completing his PhD and postdoctoral research fellowship in quantum information technology.
