They partner with their clients from the C-suite to the front line, to transform their organizations, embed technology into everything they do, and build enduring capabilities.
On the topic of quantum computing, McKinsey helps their clients to understand the technology and its relevance for them. They provide strategic advice, including the identification of value pockets for QC applications and the creation of strategic roadmaps for use case development and partnerships.
McKinsey has launched two initiatives for systemic knowledge building on quantum computing.
McKinsey Technology Council
The McKinsey’s Technology Council is a roundtable of the prominent global experts convened to assess and track emerging trends in business and technology. The Technology Council was created with the aspiration to regularly discuss and publish perspectives on future technology, develop new technologies for scouting technology development (e.g. AI based scouting) and catalyse progress by convening industry leaders on select topics. The sub-quarter on quantum computing has formed a perspective on the most promising use cases, from a technological and commercial perspective, the technology stack requirements and the potential business impact of quantum computing in various industries.
McKinsey quantum monitor
The McKinsey quantum monitor is an up-to-date overview of business and investment activity in QC. It brings together data on IP, talent, funding, industry adoption with segmentation by geography and level of the technology stack. The quantum monitor will soon be available as an interactive microsite, where one can access the newest data with a single mouse click.
