Quantum Computing Scientist Boehringer Ingelheim

Dr Elica Kyoseva is a Quantum Computing Scientist at the German pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim, where she is working on advancing the drug discovery process through quantum computing. Her main focus is the extremely precise modeling of molecular systems that will enable new ways to discover drugs and thus will contribute to the global medical progress in the future. Elica is also a Scientific Expert for the Quantum Flagship initiative of the European Commission. She holds a PhD in quantum optics and information from Sofia University, and was a fellow at MIT and a Marie Curie fellowship recipient of the European Commission. In 2016 Elica was awarded the John Atanasoff Award of the President of Republic Bulgaria for her research in the field of quantum optics with application to quantum information technologies. Originally from Bulgaria, Elica currently lives in Israel.
