Madalina Mironiuc

Quantum Fellow Womanium

Madalina Mironiuc is a Womanium Quantum Fellow and a researcher in trapped-ion quantum technologies. She works within the Quantum Hardware Program at the Womanium foundation to train the future quantum workforce and bring more talented women to quantum, in partnership with IBM, Quantinuum, IonQ, D-Wave etc. Beyond her fellowship at Womanium, Madalina is a PhD researcher at University College London, where she works in developing and demonstrating better ways to achieve highfidelity gates using trapped-ion quantum computers. She works in collaboration with Universal Quantum and the University of Sussex to further quantum hardware development, especially hardware calibration, using tools like automation and machine learning. Additionally, Madalina has a master’s degree in Particle Physics, completed at CERN, and has fundamental expertise of quantum sensing. She blends quantum innovation with a commitment to inclusion, shaping the future of quantum technology and its workforce.
