DAY 2 FRIDAY JUNE 26TH

1:00 PM Connecting Quantum: The Path to Scale-Out Architectures

Quantum is coming - according to the industry's brightest minds, executives, and researchers. Spurred by investments exceeding $100B to date, recent developments in quantum technologies have slashed time-to-market estimates - which also compresses time for enterprises to get ready.

But there is a looming problem: quantum computers can't network together over today's IT networks. Without the ability to scale-out in the way that classical HPC systems have evolved to over the last two decades, quantum computers remain painfully limited by how fast the industry can scale qubit counts on a single chip.
The good news is that along with breakthroughs in quantum computing and algorithms, some of the most important have come in the area of quantum networking - the ability to natively connect quantum computers allowing them to work synergistically to not only reach scale faster, but to do this in a more flexible and affordable manner.
This session will educate the audience on the concepts of building a native quantum network using the principles of photon mediated entanglement. Through this approach, distinct quantum systems of various sizes, qubit modalities, and even vendors can be deployed into quantum cluster configurations to not only reach scale, but to allow 'right qubit for the right task' processing as put forth in DARPA's latest Heterogeneous Architectures for Quantum (HARQ) initiative. We'll review the key challenges the industry will need to overcome to achieve mainstream deployment, core technology components required across the network from both a hardware and software level, and share insight into timeframes that can be expected for scale-out quantum computing.

Check out the incredible speaker line-up to see who will be joining Charles.
