Dr. Merrick Watchorn

Dr. Watchorn is a founding member of ManTech Labs and his current research is focused on quantum information science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and open source intelligence technologies. He is a pragmatic subject matter expert, blending his academic success with nearly 3 decades of Government and commercial experience. He is focused on injecting innovation, creativity, and critical problem solving in the workplace, while also ensuring he protects and enhances the bottom line. He has worked throughout the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community on both highly classified and unclassified programs, contributing directly to substantial mission successes. He has a broad background in systems architecture, complex networking, database management, and advanced software engineering. Dr. Watchorn has a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership with a Specialization in Information Systems and Technology and a Masters in Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. He has more than a dozen board certifications, including as a Social Media Intelligence Analyst, Cyber Threat Forensic Investigator and Professional Criminal Investigator. He is an adjunct professor at both the University of Maryland and Pace University. As a result of his work through the partnership between ManTech and Purdue Global, he was recently added to their Technical Advisory Board.
