June-Koo Rhee

Founder, Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology Officer Qunova Computing

June-Koo Kevin Rhee is a Professor at KAIST and the Founder and CEO of Qunova Computing, a pioneer in quantum computing software for industrial applications. He has earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has led cutting-edge research in quantum algorithms, electronic structure calculation, and molecular simulation, bridging quantum technology with real-world challenges in materials science and drug discovery. Prior to KAIST, he held research positions at Princeton University, NEC Laboratories, Corning Incorporated, and Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology. He also founded and directed the KAIST IT Research Center for Quantum Computing for AI and currently serves as Vice President of the Korea Quantum Industry Association. His work focuses on advancing practical quantum advantage through scalable, hybrid quantum-classical solutions for next-generation R&D. He holds more than 80 registered patents and published more than 200 papers.
