Dr. Deschaine earned his Ph.D. in Complex Adaptive Systems from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. With a career spanning over 40 years, he has produced more than 100 works. He was awarded by US Vice President Al Gore for his business process optimization at SRS and received the Grand Prize Award in the Research Category from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists for his research on integrating AI/ML with system optimization described by physics, data, and expert knowledge. His passion for quantum computing was ignited in 1978 when he was taught by a physicist from White Sands Missile Range. He engaged with Professor Richard Feynman, who pioneered Quantum Computing at the 1981 MIT Endicott House meeting, and learned AI from Marvin Minsky during his undergraduate studies at MIT. Dr. Deschaine continues to program and teach classical and quantum computation and artificial intelligence, emphasizing workforce development and business continuity, and utilizes his library of over 60 quantum capstones for instruction and prototyping.
