As the Global Head and Group Vice President, Computational Science and Informatics R&D at Roche, I oversee the AI/ML data science and cloud-based software development efforts across a portfolio of molecular, digital pathology, and protein marker-based diagnostics products that generate $11B+ in annual revenue. I leverage my skills in development of machine learning algorithms and data analytics software to lead a global R&D organization that create cloud-based software solutions for image analysis (using CNN and transformer based deep learning models), genomic analysis (ensemble method and deep learning based algorithms for analysis of complex molecular datasets), and in-silico simulation method development for enzyme and antibody protein design. In my prior role, I was the Global Head and VP of Software and Bioinformatics, Next Generation Sequencing at Roche Sequencing Solutions, where I led the research and development of GPU-accelerated software for massive throughput, highly parallelized data analytics systems, deep learning-based bioinformatics algorithms, and globally developed & deployed genomics data analysis software products across the Google Cloud Platform and AWS Cloud. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, having worked in both high tech and biotechnology industries with background in molecular biology, computational data science, and business administration.
