Endometriosis is not one disease.
It affects roughly one in ten women of reproductive age, and care is still guided by symptoms and by how lesions look at surgery. Two patients with the same diagnosis can have very different biology, and the current pathway does not account for this.
Perita Bio is building the missing molecular layer by applying the frameworks of precision oncology and tumor microenvironment biology to endometriosis. With consent, every patient we characterize adds a record to a longitudinal dataset linking molecular profile to clinical course over time. That dataset is the asset. It is what a stratification layer is trained on, and it is where we look for candidate targets and combinations to inform future non-hormonal therapeutic development.
The physician report is the engine that builds it. Each patient's treating physician receives a detailed, transparent account of her disease biology, including what the data can and cannot show. The report is why patients enroll, and every report deepens the dataset. Perita does not practice medicine, and every treatment decision stays with the patient and her physician.
Perita was founded by Raksha Shah, a biotech executive with more than thirty years in oncology and therapeutics, and built within the Even One Ventures studio. Our scientific advisory board includes leading endometriosis and women's health researchers.
