Dr. Namrata Shah is an Infectious Disease physician, HIV expert, clinical researcher, and public health advocate dedicated to advancing health equity. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Howard University Hospital and her Infectious Disease fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital. As Medical Director of Research at Whitman-Walker Health, Dr. Shah leads multidisciplinary teams running pivotal HIV treatment, prevention, vaccine, and implementation trials. She focuses on improving access to cutting-edge therapies, enhancing patient-centered outcomes, and integrating research into real-world, community-based care. She also serves as a sub-investigator for the AIDS Clinical Trials Group. Dr. Shah is deeply committed to empowering women through sexual health education and increasing their representation in clinical trials. Her work addresses the impact of stigma, structural barriers, and health disparities, ensuring that research reflects the diverse populations it aims to serve. Through her clinical research, advocacy, and community engagement, Dr. Shah bridges science and real-world impact—promoting informed health decisions, equitable care, and meaningful participation in clinical research. She inspires audiences to recognize that advancing women's health is not just about medicine, but about inclusion, awareness, and access.
