Catherine Gaffigan

President Elevance Health

As President of Health Solutions, Catherine oversees clinical operations, provider contracting, value-based provider partnerships, cost of care strategies, and health economics. She and her team work to ensure over 45 million Elevance Health members have access to high-quality, affordable, personalized care. Catherine has over 25 years’ experience in healthcare management and leadership. Prior to joining Elevance Health in 2024, she was President of the Arizona and Northwest Mountain markets for Aetna. She also served as VP of Provider Contracting and Provider Partnership Innovation for Cambia Health Solutions, and as a leader in Aetna’s Accountable Care Solutions team. She spent five years at McKinsey & Company after earning her medical degree, with a focus on U.S. healthcare payors and providers. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Catherine believes in selfless service to her community. She currently serves on the boards of the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis and St. Luke’s Health Partners in Boise, Idaho. Catherine holds a Medical Doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, an M.A. in Management and Economics from the University of Oklahoma, and a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
