Dr. Sarah Cigna is Assistant Professor of OBGYN at George Washington University. Dr Cigna has been practicing sexual medicine since 2018. She established a sexual medicine clinic and now serves as the Director of the Sexual Health and Gender Affirmation Center, a team of 4 OBGYN physicians. She and her team also founded the first ever sexual medicine fellowship for OBGYN physicians. She has received numerous teaching and mentorship awards, reflecting her passion in teaching and influencing the next generation of sexual health and trauma informed providers. She has served as the Education Chair for the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health and is active in research at her university, where she most enjoys studying sexual medicine and vulvovaginal disorders. She is determined to improve access to evidence-based and affordable sexual healthcare.
