Takayoshi Wiesner serves as Head of U.S. Fixed Income in the Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) within Aladdin Financial Engineering (AFE) at BlackRock. His team is responsible for developing custom analytics for BlackRock’s portfolio managers and traders, as well as advancing Aladdin’s analytics for a wider range of users. Taka joined BlackRock in September 2024, following a decade as Global Head of Strats in Global Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley, where his team structured new issues and hedges, created pricing and analytical models, and managed a data science lab supporting corporate, FIG, and sponsor clients across regions (AMRS, EMEA, and APAC) and asset classes (Debt Capital Markets, Derivatives, Equity Capital Markets, Lending, and M&A). Before Morgan Stanley, he spent seven years at Mizuho as a credit portfolio risk manager, overseeing Mizuho’s credit investment portfolio, credit trading, and corporate lending in the Americas. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, as well as an MA in Quantitative Methods and an MA in Statistics from Columbia University.
