“QWAFAxNEW“ is the premier Quant society in NYC. It was launched by Milind Sharma in 2019 following the abrupt demise of the prior organization New York QWAFAFEW. It has no formal links to QWAFAFEW. The etymology was inspired by our host city (NEW YORK) & by charting a NEW course in the spirit of TEDx to encapsulate the “exponential” possibilities through the “x” in QWAFAx while pronouncing it as “Quaff a New” in the spirit of quaffing a few together!!
