Yesim is a Managing Director, Portfolio Manager for Principal Asset Allocation. She serves as the Global Head of Target Risk Multi-Asset Strategies and Head of Quantitative Research. Yesim joined the firm in 2023. Prior to her current role, Yesim served as a Managing Director, Head of Multi-Asset Research, Co-head of ESG, and Portfolio Manager at PGIM Quantitative Solutions. Prior to that, Yesim worked as a Vice President, Senior Quantitative Analyst at AllianceBernstein and as a Manager, Senior Investment Analyst for the Vanguard Group. Yesim’s articles have appeared in the Journal of Portfolio Management, the Journal of Investment Management, Journal of Investing, the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and the Strategic Management Journal, among other leading publications. She received a PhD in Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara, a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Arizona and a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, Turkey.
