Our Story

Ahead of the curve since 2018

Long before AI and data became the talk of every trading floor, we were bringing together the people putting it to work. Future Alpha began in 2018 as AI and Data Science in Trading, one of the first events dedicated to how machine learning and data were changing investment management.

Becoming Quant Strats

As the community grew, so did our scope. From 2022 to 2026, Quant Strats ran twice a year, in London and the US, and became the meeting point for systematic and quantitative investors. Each edition welcomed 350–400 attendees and built a reputation for practical, technical content.

With AI and data science now at the centre of every conversation in finance, which is where we’ve always been, we rebranded as Future Alpha. It became our flagship event, bringing together 700+ attendees across Alpha, Risk and Tech.
